Pharmaceutical services are a benchmark used as a guideline for pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services. The quality of pharmaceutical services at a pharmacy influences patient satisfaction, ensuring that they meet their expectations. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at the K24 Sisingamangaraja Pharmacy in Yogyakarta. The research method used was a descriptive observational method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 100 patients who purchased medication and received self-medication services at the K24 Sisingamangaraja Pharmacy. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Patient satisfaction was assessed based on five dimensions of service quality: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The collected data was then analyzed using a percentage formula and interpreted using a Likert scale of satisfaction levels consisting of very dissatisfied 0-20%, dissatisfied 21-41%, quite satisfied 42-62%, satisfied 63-83%, and very satisfied 84-100%. The results and conclusions of this study show that the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at the K24 Sisingamangaraja Pharmacy shows a very satisfied category with an average value of 85.23% for the five dimensions.

Self-medication is the act of self-treatment without a doctor’s prescription which, if done correctly, can help reduce the burden on health services. A good level of knowledge about self-medication of diarrhea is very important to ensure proper use of drugs and prevent unwanted side effects. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Purwosari Gunungkidul about self-medication of diarrhea drugs. This research used descriptive observational method with purposive sampling techniques, involving 67 students as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing 17 statements, including indicators of knowledge about diarrhea self-medication, drug use, dosage, side effects, and contraindications. The total population of 559 students then the calculation using the slovin formula obtained 67 students. Data were collected and the results were then calculated to be categorized as good, sufficient, and less. After scoring, data were analyzed in descriptive form. The result of this study indicate the level of knowledge of class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Purwosari Gunungkidul who are well informed as many as 14 respondents (20%), who are moderately informed as many as 45 respondents (67%), and who are less knowledgeable as many as 8 respondents (12%). Pharmaceutical services are direct services related to the preparation and provision of pharmaceutical products, playing a vital role in improving individuals’ quality of life. Previous studies have shown that 54.56% of patients were dissatisfied with the pharmaceutical services they received. Therefore, this study aims to determine the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at Stepa Sewon Pharmacy. This research uses a descriptive observational method with prospective data collection. Patient satisfaction is measured using five dimensions of service quality: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible evidence. The sample consists of 100 respondents who were asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding their satisfaction with self-medication services. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively by calculating the average satisfaction percentage. Based on research on the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at Stepa Pharmacy Sewon in January 2025, it is known that the service is in the very satisfied category. The percentage of satisfaction in each dimension includes, reliability 86,67%, responsiveness 88%, assurance 85,67%, empathy 89,33%, and physical evidence 89,13%. The conclusion of this study regarding the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at Stepa Pharmacy is categorized as very satisfied.

Patient satisfaction is a form of assessment from patients who receive services provided by pharmacists. Previous research data involving 167 respondents showed that 58.08% (97) of patients were dissatisfied with the services received in terms of responsiveness, reliability, assurance, friendliness, and tangible evidence. This study aims to determine the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services at Bahagia Kretek Pharmacy in January 2025. A descriptive observational method was used through a questionnaire to obtain more in-depth information regarding patient satisfaction with self-medication services at Bahagia Kretek Pharmacy based on five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The sample consisted of 94 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative methods, by evaluating the responses from the questionnaire and calculating the average score of reality and expectations, then comparing them. The results and conclusion of the study on the level of patient satisfaction with self-medication services showed that the reliability dimension scored in the very satisfied category (0.97), responsiveness in the very satisfied category (0.97), assurance in the very satisfied category (0.97), empathy in the very satisfied category (0.98), and tangibles in the very satisfied category (0.98), with an overall average score of 0.97 (very satisfied category).

Stomach ulcers or gastritis is pain due to inflammation or wounds in the stomach. Antacids are drugs that are commonly used in ulcer therapy, antacids function to maintain a pH between 3-5. Gastritis sufferers in the world reach 2.1 million people every year, the number of gastritis sufferers in Indonesia in 2019 is 40.8% and reaches a prevalence of 238,452,952 people in several regions in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of self-medicated patients about the use of antacids at Kasongan Kajen Pharmacy, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is observational and descriptive. The sampling method used is the purposive sampling method, with a total of 90 samples. This study used a measuring tool in the form of a closed questionnaire to determine the level of knowledge of the respondents. The data obtained is described as good, sufficient, or less knowledge. Based on the results of the study, the gender that used the most antacid drugs was women as many as 54 patients (60%). The most age is age with a range of 15-25 (64.5%) and the most education is vocational school with 43 patients (47.8%). The level of knowledge of self-medication patients at the Kasongan pharmacy was 31 patients (34.4%), 42 patients (46.7%) in the adequate category and 17 patients (18.9%) in the poor category.

Self-medication performed by the Indonesian population amounted to 64.35%. The largest percentage of self-medication performed in Panyabungan City was pain at 51.2%. Research in Surabaya states that one of the drugs often used for self-medication is analgesics (36.2-59%). Some previous studies on the level of knowledge of the use of analgesics in pain self-medication are still in the sufficient and insufficient category. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of the Gedongkuning community regarding the use of analgesics in pain self-medication. This study used descriptive observational method with purposive sampling. Data collection was done with a closed questionnaire on 75 respondents. Data analysis was carried out by summing up the scores of each respondent and then calculating the percentage of the assessment to determine the level of knowledge of the community included in the category of good, sufficient, or lacking. Factors influencing knowledge such as age, gender, education, and occupation were also analyzed. The research that has been conducted obtained the results of a good level of knowledge as many as 61 respondents (81%), 12 respondents (16%), and 2 respondents (3%). Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that most of the Gedongkuning community has good knowledge about the use of analgesics in pain self-medication.

Influenza is a contagious respiratory disease caused by a respiratory virus that attacks the upper respiratory tract (nose, pharynx and larynx). Self-medication is an alternative to self-medication that is chosen by the community to cure minor health complaints or treat symptoms of the disease before being treated by health workers. The prevalence of influenza in Indonesia in 2018 was 9.2-9.4%, cases in Yogyakarta Province had a prevalence of 6.86% and in Kulon Progo Regency had a prevalence of 4.33%. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge about self-medication for the use of influenza drugs in the village of Turus Tanjungharjo Nanggulan Kulon Progo.
This study uses a descriptive observational method with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out based on a closed questionnaire with statements that had been validated using SPSS version 2023. Percentage results were calculated using Microsoft Excel by giving a score or value and interpreted using the criteria for the level of knowledge in the good, sufficient and poor categories.

Based on the results it was found that the level of knowledge of patients at the Bangunjiwo Pharmacy included indications, drug samples, how to use the drug, duration or duration of drug use in the good category by 65 respondents with a percentage of 69.89%, patients with an adequate level of knowledge were 26 respondents with a percentage of 27.96%, and patients with less knowledge level were 2 respondents with a percentage of 2.15%. The conclusion from the results of research that has been conducted regarding the level of public knowledge regarding the use of antidyspepsia drugs at the Bangunjiwo Pharmacy is categorized in the good category.
