Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Pasien Terhadap Swamedikasi Penggunaan Obat Antasida di Apotek Kasongan Bantul
Stomach ulcers or gastritis is pain due to inflammation or wounds in the stomach. Antacids are drugs that are commonly used in ulcer therapy, antacids function to maintain a pH between 3-5. Gastritis sufferers in the world reach 2.1 million people every year, the number of gastritis sufferers in Indonesia in 2019 is 40.8% and reaches a prevalence of 238,452,952 people in several regions in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of self-medicated patients about the use of antacids at Kasongan Kajen Pharmacy, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is observational and descriptive. The sampling method used is the purposive sampling method, with a total of 90 samples. This study used a measuring tool in the form of a closed questionnaire to determine the level of knowledge of the respondents. The data obtained is described as good, sufficient, or less knowledge. Based on the results of the study, the gender that used the most antacid drugs was women as many as 54 patients (60%). The most age is age with a range of 15-25 (64.5%) and the most education is vocational school with 43 patients (47.8%). The level of knowledge of self-medication patients at the Kasongan pharmacy was 31 patients (34.4%), 42 patients (46.7%) in the adequate category and 17 patients (18.9%) in the poor category.
