Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Penggunaan Tabir Surya dan Bahaya Paparan Sinar Matahari pada Mahasiswa Universitas Amikom Bulan Februari 2025
The dangers of sun exposure can cause some damage to the skin such as acne, dull skin, uneven skin, sunburn and long-term risks of photoaging and skin cancer. To minimize the dangers of sun exposure, WHO recommends using sunscreen as a form of skin protection. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of knowledge about sunscreen use and the dangers of sun exposure among students at Amikom University Yogyakarta. This research uses a descriptive observational method with probability sampling technique through simple random sampling. The sample in this study consists of students from the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program, totalling 100 respondents. The instrument used is a closed questionnaire distributed using a google form. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis by presenting the obtained data result, which are then categorized into levels of knowledge: good, sufficient, and lacking. Based on the results of the study on the level of knowledge of the use of sunscreen and the dangers of sun exposure in 100 respondents, the category is good 28%, sufficient 61% and lacking 11%. It can be concluded that the level of knowledge of students in the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program is mostly categorized as sufficient.
