Gambaran penggunaan obat Anti-Inflamasi Non-Steroid pada pasien poli gigi di Rumah Sakit Bethesda Yogyakarta bulan Oktober 2024
Prevalence of dental and oral health problems based on the 2024 DIY health profile, the number of new and old visits for dental and oral outpatient care in 2023 in Yogyakarta City was 58,829 patients. Patients with dental health problems generally receive treatment in the form of analgesics. Visits to the Bethesda Hospital dental clinic for 1 year were 49,196 visits. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the use of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs in dental clinic patients at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta in October 2024. This study used an observational method with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out retrospectively. The sample of medical record data used was 100 prescriptions. The data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively by calculating the percentage of NSAID names, generics and patents, NSAID groups and duration of drug use. The results of this study indicate that NSAID drugs are widely used at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta in October 2024 in female patients as many as 67% and patients aged 26-45 years as many as 39%. The conclusion of this study is that the most widely used analgesic drug is mefenamic acid 43%, the most widely used drugs are generic drugs at 58%, the NSAID group is anthranilic acid derivatives at 43% and the duration of drug use at the highest dose is 4 days at 63%.
