Pola Peresepan Obat Antibiotik di Apotek Madukismo Farma Periode Mei-Agustus 2024
Infectious diseases are important for the public and government to pay attention to because of the many cases found. Treatment for bacterial infections is usually prescribed by doctors with antibiotics. 92% of Indonesian people do not use antibiotics appropriately. Widespread and inappropriate use of antibiotics is a major factor causing resistance. This study aims to determine the pattern of antibiotic prescribing at Madukismo Farma Pharmacy. The method used in this study is a descriptive observational method with retrospective data collection in the period May-August 2024 at the Madukismo Farma Pharmacy. The sampling technique used a saturated sampling technique with a total sample of 96 prescriptions. Data analysis by calculating percentages based on patient characteristics (age and gender) and antibiotic characteristics (antibiotic name, antibiotic class, and dosage form). The results and conclusions of this study show the pattern of antibiotic prescription at Madukismo Farma Pharmacy for the period May-August 2024, namely that the most common age category is adults (48.96%), the most common gender is female patients (56.25%), the most commonly prescribed antibiotic name is Amoxicillin with the Penicillin group (59.37%), and the most commonly given dosage form is capsule preparations (34.45%).
