Diabetes mellitus is a long-term disease that requires long-term treatment. In 2019, Indonesia ranked 7th out of 10 in the number of people with diabetes mellitus with 10.7 million people. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus cases in Yogyakarta in 2018 ranked third at 3.1%. Bethesda Lempuyangwangi Hospital diabetes mellitus ranks second out of the top ten diseases with the most cases. This study aims to determine the Drug Use Pattern of Diabetes Mellitus II at Bethesda Lempuyangwangi Hospital Yogyakarta July-September 2023 Period. This study used a descriptive observational method with retrospective data collection using prescription data and medical records of patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus II without or with comorbidities. By calculating the percentage of descriptive quantitative research data including the number of patient names in the form of initials, patient age, gender, drug name and drug strength, drug usage rules (signa), drug class, diagnosis, type of therapy and objective data.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition in which the patient cannot produce enough insulin. More than 95% of DM cases are type 2 DM. One of the drugs to treat type 2 DM is insulin. Insulin is much needed by patients with type 2 DM to improve glycemic control. This study aims to determine the pattern of insulin use in outpatient type 2 DM patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital in 2023. The research method used was descriptive observational method with retrospective data collection on medical records of type 2 DM patients. The population in this study was all medical record data of outpatient type 2 DM patients in 2023. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis includes patient characteristics (patient age, gender, diagnosis), and insulin use patterns (type of single/combination insulin therapy, type of insulin and insulin class).

Prevalensi Diabetes Melitus (DM) di Indonesia diperkirakan akan mengalami lonjakan sekitar 21,3 juta pada tahun 2030 dan sebanyak 90% dari kasus DM di dunia adalah DM tipe 2. Pengobatan DM tipe 2 dirasa penting untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi. Salah satu terapi pengobatan DM tipe 2 yaitu dengan Obat Antidiabetik Oral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola penggunaan antidiabetik oral pada pasien DM tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Tahun 2023.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional bersifat deskriptif dengan pengambilan data secara retrospektif pada data rekam medis pasien DM tipe 2. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh rekam medis pasien dengan diagnosa DM tipe 2 rawat jalan di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Tahun 2023. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling pada 624 rekam medis dan Analisa data meliputi karakteristik pasien (jenis kelamin, usia) dan pola penggunaan antidiabetik oral (jenis terapi, jenis obat, golongan obat).

The number of cases of hypertension in Bantul is 106,659 and hypertension is the first order of the top 10 diseases. Public awareness is still lacking about the use of hypertension drugs which causes drug therapy to be less than optimal. Several studies suggest that one of the factors that influence hypertension is age. This study aims to determine the pattern of use of hypertension drugs at the Sewon II Health Center, Bantul for the period June - October 2022. In this study using descriptive observational method. Where researchers collect data based on patient medical records. The population in this study was the average per month of patients undergoing treatment at the Sewon II Bantul Health Center for the period June - October 2022. The data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively based on patient characteristics and patterns of hypertension drug use and data presented in percentage form.
