Gambaran Peresepan Obat Antidiabetes pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Umbulharjo I Yogyakarta Periode Juli-September 2025
Prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) continues to increase both globally and nationally, including in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, which ranks second highest in Indonesia (2.9%). DM is the second most common degenerative disease after hypertension, with a total of 1,431 cases recorded at Puskesmas Umbulharjo I Yogyakarta during the period of July–September 2025. This study aimed to describe the prescribing pattern of antidiabetic medications in patients with type II DM at Puskesmas Umbulharjo I Yogyakarta during July–September 2025. The study used a descriptive observational method with a retrospective approach. The population in this study consisted of 1,431 medical records and total of 95 medical records that met the inclusion criteria were selected as samples using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis with percentage frequency distribution presented in tables to describe drug prescribing, including drug classes, drug names, and types of therapy (monotherapy and combination therapy). The results showed that the antidiabetic drug classes used at Puskesmas Umbulharjo I Yogyakarta during July–September 2025 were the biguanide class, metformin (55.92%), and the sulfonylurea class, glimepiride (44.08%). The monotherapy used was metformin (29.47%) and glimepiride (10.53%), combination therapy used was metformin and glimepiride (60.00%).
