Abstrak
Antipyretics are drugs used to reduce body temperature due to fever or an increase in body temperature. Normal human body temperature is 36-37°C. Lack of knowledge of housewives about the use of antipyretics in toddlers greatly affects the use of antipyretics. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about the use of antipyretics in toddlers at Posyandu Jebugan Tirtomulyo Kretek Bantul. This study used descriptive observational research methods. The research sample used saturated sampling technique as many as 58 mothers in the Jebugan Hamlet Posyandu Tirtomulyo Kretek Bantul who have toddlers aged 12-59 months. The instrument used in this study was a closed questionnaire. Data were collected and the results were then calculated in the form of % with the categories of good (76-100%), sufficient (56-75%), less (<56%). The results showed that the level of knowledge of mothers about the use of antipyretics in toddlers at the Posyandu Jebugan Hamlet Tirtomulyo Kretek Bantul, namely 28 respondents (48%) had a good level of knowledge, 25 respondents (43%) had a sufficient level of knowledge and 5 respondents (9%) had a lack of knowledge. The conclusion of this study is that most of the mothers' level of knowledge about the use of antipyretics in toddlers is in the good category.
