Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Tentang Penggunaan Obat Batuk di Dusun Plambongan Pajangan Bantul Bulan Februari 2025
Coughing is one of the symptoms of illnesses experienced by everyone, often considered mild, with a prevalence of 15% in children and 20% in adults. According to data from 2022, the highest prevalence of coughing in pneumonia cases in Indonesia was found in North Kalimantan with 67.3%, while Yogyakarta had a rate of 10.3%. Based on statistics from the Yogyakarta Health Office in 2021, over 35% of cough sufferers were found in the Kulon Progo and Bantul areas. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge about the use of cough medicine in Plambongan, Pajangan, Bantul. The research method used is observational with a descriptive approach, using purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 100 residents aged 19-59 years from Plambongan. Primary data was collected directly from respondents using a questionnaire and analyzed descriptively by calculating the percentage score, categorized as good, fair, or poor. The results showed that the level of knowledge about cough medicine usage in Plambongan was good for 19 respondents (19%), fair for 75 respondents (75%), and poor for 6 respondents (6%). It can be concluded that the majority of the community in Plambongan have a fair level of knowledge.
