Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Terhadap Penggunaan Obat Batuk di Dusun Kebrokan Pandeyan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta Februari 2023

Abstract

Coughing is a lung defense effort against various existing stimuli and physiological reflexes that protect the lungs from mechanical, chemical and thermal trauma. Cough is the most common symptom of respiratory disease and a problem doctors often face in their daily practice in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge of cough medicines in Kebrokan Pandeyan Umbulharjo Hamlet, Yogyakarta Regency, January 2023. The design of this research is observational which is descriptive in nature by taking the research sample using purposive sampling method based on inclusion criteria. The sample used in this research is 80 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a knowledge questionnaire on the use of cough medicine. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the score of each respondent and calculating the percentage of the assessment to find out the level of public knowledge included in the good, sufficient, and poor categories.
