Lotion is a type of skin care cosmetic. Lotion can be formulated with the active ingredient vitamin E. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties. Vitamin E is made in lotion preparations to make it easier to use and comfortable on the skin. The aim of this research is to determine the physicochemical properties of vitamin E lotion preparations based on organoleptic test parameters, homogeneity, pH and distribution diameter.
This research uses an experimental posttest only control design method. The lotion preparation formula consists of a formula without the addition of vitamin E (FI) and a vitamin E formula (FII). The lotion obtained was subjected to physicochemical evaluation including organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH and distribution diameter. The data from the organoleptic and homogeneity tests were analyzed descriptively, while the pH and distribution diameter were analyzed using SPSS 26. The analysis began with a normality test and a homogeneity test. Data that is normally and homogeneously distributed is followed by an independent t-test, while data that is not normal and homogeneous is analyzed using Mann Whitney. |
