Abstrak
The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women based on SKI (2023) is 27.7%. During pregnancy, an additional 300 calories are needed, especially in the second and third trimesters. The daily requirement of folic acid in pregnant women is 600-800 micrograms, (Levine et al., 2018). The World Health Organization states that anemia is a serious global public health problem that specifically attacks women of childbearing age and pregnant women. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women is 36.5%. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of folic acid prescription in pregnant women at the Sultan Agung Yogyakarta Pharmacy for the period January-June 2024. This study used a descriptive observational method and retrospective data collection with a purposive sampling method. The study population was 425 sheets and the sample used was 85 sheets. The data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of appropriate folic acid doses, inappropriate folic acid doses, the amount of single folic acid, and the amount of combination folic acid. This study has limitations set by the researcher on the inclusion and exclusion criteria with the final results being appropriate or inappropriate. The results of the study of folic acid prescribing patterns in pregnant women at Sultan Agung Pharmacy for the period January-June 2024 showed that the percentage of dose compliance (77.6%), the percentage of non-compliance (22.4%), the percentage of single folic acid (20.2), and the percentage of combination folic acid (79.8%).
