Abstrak
Self-medication without adequate understanding can lead to medication misue. Obtain, Use, and Dispose (DAGUSIBU) is a program aimed to promoting the Smart Family Movement on Medicine Awareness as a step to improve community quality of life. A preliminary study in Segoroyoso 2 Hamlet revealed that most residents were still unfamiliar with DAGUSIBU practices, such as obtaining medicines from no-healthcare providers, improper usage, storing medicines in the refrigerator, and disposing of medicines directly into the trash. This study aims to determine the level of public knowledge about DAGUSIBU in Segoroyoso 2 Hamlet, Segoroyoso, Pleret, Bantul. The research used an observational descriptive method. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, with a total of 90 respondents. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire. Data were analyzed by summing the scores of each respondent, then converting them into percentages to categorize the level of knowledge as good, fair, or poor. The result showed that of the 90 respondents, 54 (60%) had a good level of knowledge, 25 (28%) had a fair level, and 11 (12%) had a poor level. It can be concluded that the overall level of community knowledge about DAGUSIBU is categorized as good. Keywords: DAGUSIBU, Medicine, Community, Knowledge Level
