Abstrak
Based on the 2024 Satu Data Indonesia report, the percentage of diarrhea cases in Bantul has fluctuated. In August 2024, there were 81 patients; in September 2024, the number decreased to 74 patients; and in October 2024, it increased to 91 patients. This study aims to determine the level of patient knowledge regarding self-medication for diarrhea treatment at Stepa Pharmacy Sewon Bantul in January 2025. This research is an observational descriptive study with a prospective approach. The sample consisted of 71 respondents selected using purposive sampling, where samples were chosen based on specific considerations and inclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted using a quantitative approach by analyzing the respondents' answers and presenting the knowledge level in percentage categories: good, fair, and poor. The results showed that the majority of patients 64 respondents (90%) had a good level of knowledge regarding self-medication for treating diarrhea. Six respondents (6%) had a fair level of knowledge, and four respondents (4%) had a poor level of knowledge. This study concludes that the level of patient knowledge about self-medication for diarrhea treatment falls into the good category.
