Gambaran Pengetahuan Pasien terhadap Penggunaan Obat Anti-Inflamasi Nonsteroid Oral di Apotek Srandakan Farma Bulan Januari 2025

Based on a study by Iskandar et al. (2022), 67.03% of the population purchased non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), showing that NSAIDs are relatively well known. However, these drugs carry risks of side effects. Spetaniuk et al. (2016) reported 1,460 cases of NSAID-related side effects in Ukraine in 2015 (94.4%). At Srandakan Farma Pharmacy, repeated NSAID purchases exceeding one strip and side effect complaints were also noted, yet patients continued usage. This study aims to describe the level of patient knowledge regarding oral NSAID use at Srandakan Farma Pharmacy. It employed a descriptive observational method with purposive sampling involving 62 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Guttman scale, where correct answers scored 1 and incorrect answers scored 0. The percentage scores were used to classify knowledge levels as good, moderate, or poor. The results showed that 15% of patients had good knowledge, 58% moderate, and 27% poor. It can be concluded that the overall patient knowledge regarding oral NSAID use at Srandakan Farma Pharmacy falls into the moderate category.

One of the problems that many people experience is pain with different causes. Every year, 20% of the world's population experiences pain. Pharmacologically, pain can be reduced by using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). According to Iskandar et al. (2022), 67.03% of the population purchases NSAIDs. The high percentage of use of AINS shows that the drug is quite well known by the public. However, the use of AINS cannot be separated from the risk of side effects.Spetaniuk et al. (2016) reported 1,460 NSAID-related adverse cases in Ukraine in 2015, accounting for 94.4% of total cases. This study aims to describe patients' knowledge regarding oral NSAID use at Srandakan Farma Pharmacy. This study uses a descriptive observational method with purposive sampling of 62 respondents. Data collection was done using a questionnaire and analyzed with the Guttman scale, where correct answers scored 1 and incorrect answers scored 0. The percentage was then calculated to categorize knowledge levels as good, moderate, or poor. Results showed that at Srandakan Farma Pharmacy, 15% of patients had good knowledge, 58% had moderate knowledge, and 27% had poor knowledge of NSAID use.
