Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Swamedikasi Penggunaan Obat Influenza Di Dusun Turus Tanjungharjo Nanggulan Kulon Progo Periode Maret 2023

Abstract

Influenza is a contagious respiratory disease caused by a respiratory virus that attacks the upper respiratory tract (nose, pharynx and larynx). Self-medication is an alternative to self-medication that is chosen by the community to cure minor health complaints or treat symptoms of the disease before being treated by health workers. The prevalence of influenza in Indonesia in 2018 was 9.2-9.4%, cases in Yogyakarta Province had a prevalence of 6.86% and in Kulon Progo Regency had a prevalence of 4.33%. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge about self-medication for the use of influenza drugs in the village of Turus Tanjungharjo Nanggulan Kulon Progo. This study uses a descriptive observational method with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out based on a closed questionnaire with statements that had been validated using SPSS version 2023. Percentage results were calculated using Microsoft Excel by giving a score or value and interpreted using the criteria for the level of knowledge in the good, sufficient and poor categories.
