Hubungan Tingkat Pendidikan Terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Obat Tradisional di RT 05 Desa Karanggayam Bantul Januari 2023

Abstract

Traditional medicine has been used widely in the world, around 80% of the population in certain countries, used traditional medicine as a guarantee of their health. As much as 49.5% of Indonesia's population has started using traditional medicine in the form of herbs. As much as 92% of Indonesian people stated that they know about traditional medicine, but the knowledge limited about herbal medicine. The aim of this study to determine the relationship between the level of education and the level of public knowledge about traditional medicine in RT 05 Karanggayam Village, Bantul. This study used an analytic observational method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 75 respondents. Data analysis was carried out, namely the characteristics of the respondents, the level of knowledge, and the relationship between the level of education and the level of knowledge using Kruskal-Wallis test with SPSS 23. The results obtained from the level of knowledge about traditional medicine in the good category are 48%, sufficient are 35%, and less are 17%. Kruskal-Wallis test results obtained a significance value of 0.286, then Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between the level of education and the level of public knowledge about traditional medicine in RT 05 Karanggayam Village, Bantul.
