Pengaruh Perbedaan Pelarut Terhadap Nilai Rendemen Ekstrak Daun Kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.)

Abstract

The yield is obtained from the thick extract of basil leaves in maceration. Maceration is done using different solvents. The choice of solvent type affects the yield value of the extraction results. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different solvents on the yield value of basil leaf extract. This type of research uses experimental posttest only design. The extract was carried out by maceration method using 96% ethanol and n-hexane solvents for 3 24 hours each. After soaking the basil leaf extract was dried using a waterbath with a temperature of 600 C. After drying, the yield value was calculated. The yield data were analyzed using SPSS version 26. The yield data obtained were first tested for normality and homogeneity using the Shapiro Wilk test. Normally distributed data with significant (sig) > 0.05 was followed by an independent t-test to compare between groups of solvent types.
