Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu tentang Penggunaan Vitamin A Pada Balita di Dusun Jaten Sendangadi Sleman Januari 2024

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), half of the 20 million children under five in Indonesia suffer from Vitamin A deficiency and Indonesia is one of the countries where the fulfillment of Vitamin A is relatively low. This research was used to determine the description of mothers' knowledge about the use of vitamin A in children under five in Jaten Village, Subdistrict. Sendangadi. This research uses descriptive observational research methods with quantitative data. The population used in this research were mothers who had children under five in Jaten Hamlet, Sendangadi Village. Data collection uses a closed questionnaire that has been validated and is reliable. The results obtained were scored, then the percentage was calculated and categorized as having good, sufficient and poor knowledge. The results of the research from 67 respondents who had good knowledge category were 20 (29.9%), 17 (25.3%) had "Enough" knowledge, and 30 (44.8%) had "Poor" knowledge. This shows that the level of knowledge of mothers regarding the use of vitamin A in toddlers is still lacking.
