Tingkat Pengetahuan Pasien Tentang Terapi Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di Rumah Sakit Rajawali Citra Bantul Periode Februari-Maret 2024

Abstract

The 2018 riskesdas results show that the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia is 2%. This figure shows an increase compared to the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the 2013 riskesdas results, which was 1.5%. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus cases in the city of Yogyakarta reached 4.9%. Diabetes is generally caused by lifestyle and behavioral patterns, especially diet and inactivity. The lack of knowledge of patients regarding treatment regimens, the benefits of drugs or therapies causes patients to be non-compliant in carrying out their own treatment. This study aims to determine the level of patient knowledge regarding type 2 diabetes mellitus therapy at Rajawali Citra Bantul Hospital in February-March 2024. This research method was carried out descriptively observational with purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire sheet consisting of 20 questions which will previously be tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis with univariate analysis using Microsoft Excel. The results of the questionnaire filling were calculated the correct answer score and calculated the percentage score to group the categories of good, sufficient, and less good. with the aim of getting a picture in the form of a percentage related to the level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus therapy.
