Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Penggunaan Analgetika Dalam Swamedikasi Nyeri Pada Masyarakat Gedongkuning Yogyakarta Bulan Februari 2024

Abstract

Self-medication performed by the Indonesian population amounted to 64.35%. The largest percentage of self-medication performed in Panyabungan City was pain at 51.2%. Research in Surabaya states that one of the drugs often used for self-medication is analgesics (36.2-59%). Some previous studies on the level of knowledge of the use of analgesics in pain self-medication are still in the sufficient and insufficient category. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of the Gedongkuning community regarding the use of analgesics in pain self-medication. This study used descriptive observational method with purposive sampling. Data collection was done with a closed questionnaire on 75 respondents. Data analysis was carried out by summing up the scores of each respondent and then calculating the percentage of the assessment to determine the level of knowledge of the community included in the category of good, sufficient, or lacking. Factors influencing knowledge such as age, gender, education, and occupation were also analyzed. The research that has been conducted obtained the results of a good level of knowledge as many as 61 respondents (81%), 12 respondents (16%), and 2 respondents (3%). Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that most of the Gedongkuning community has good knowledge about the use of analgesics in pain self-medication.
