TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU-IBU PKK TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN DAUN BINAHONG (Anredera cardifolia. Steen) SEBAGAI ANTIDIABETES DI DUSUN BLOTAN, WEDOMARTANI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that will continue to increase until 2030 with an estimated 647 million people. Based on the health profile of Sleman Regency, Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases reported by the health center, which is in the top 10 diseases that occur in the health center. Sustainable use of natural resources and traditional herbs to be used as traditional medicine in an effort to improve health services. The use of traditional medicinal plants is one of the alternatives that are most in demand by the community. One of the plants that can be useful as medicine is the binahong leaf plant. This study uses a descriptive observational method with a cross sectional approach to measure the level of knowledge at one time. Data analysis uses a questionnaire that has been validated and then filled out by respondents who are research samples. The data obtained was then calculated from the results of the questionnaire and the data analysis was then made in the form of paragraphs with the categories of knowledge, namely good, sufficient, and less. The results of the study on the level of knowledge of PKK women on the use of binahong leaves (Anredera cardifolia. Steen) as an antidiabetic in Blotan Hamlet, Wedomartani, Sleman, as many as 64 respondents (47.41%) have good knowledge, 55 respondents (40.74%) have sufficient knowledge, and 16 respondents (11.85%) have insufficient knowledge, so it can be concluded that PKK women have knowledge about the use of binahong leaves as an antidiabetes categorized as sufficient.
